Finding the perfect foundation for my skin tone and type can be a real struggle. I have told you guys in previous posts that most foundation are usually too dark or too light for me. The Maybelline Fit Me Poreless and Matte Foundation has literally blown up here in South African. If you are a South African Beauty Blogger you have probably purchased this product already.
As usual I am always late when it comes to latest beauty launches. I am the type of person who enjoys sitting back while others try it first. Get a feel for what majority beauty bloggers in South Africa thinks. Wasting money on makeup is something I absolutely hate. I was a bit skeptic with the Maybelline Fit Me Poreless and Matte Foundation. I have dry to normal skin so when I saw matte I wasn’t sure this would work.
“Matte + Poreless from Maybelline goes beyond skin tone matching to fit the unique texture issues of normal to oily skin for the ultimate natural skin fit. While some foundations can exaggerate pores and oily skin. Maybelline’s pore-minimizing foundation contains their genius blurring micro-powders. That erases pores and absorb oil, for a naturally matte and poreless-looking finish.”
Normally when a see a foundation describe their product to be matte, I run the other direction. I really wanted to give this one a go and I did! Oh boy, was I surprised. The Maybelline Fit Me Poreless and Matte Foundation didn’t give me the poreless look that Maybelline promises. But, I have found that the shade Sun Beige is the perfect foundation match. I am really impressed with the shade selection that Maybelline offers, you are bound to find a perfect match.
It lasted all day with minor patches, my foundation usually start dissipating around the nose area and this was no different. I do love how light-weight it looked on my skin, the formula has a watery texture. The foundation is easy to bend or buff into the skin. I used this foundation with both the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge and brush and both blended out beautifully.
For less than R100, you can’t go wrong with this foundation. I have normal to dry skin and I have not experience and dry patches. Also keep in mind that I don’t use any powder products to set, only a hydrating mist or setting spray which I found helps.
