I thought it would be fun to take things back to the basics and do a 5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Me.
I‘ve shared a post like this in what seems to be forever! Personally, I love getting to know the person behind the blog, especially considering the fact that so many lovely bloggers I have been following for years now, and many of you have been with me for that long too.
It’s been more than 5 years since I started blogging. When I rebranding I was scared that many of you would not visit my blog again. Rebranding has been scary, but I have also grown as a person so it made sense that my blog would grow with me. Blogging is nearly not as popular is it was when I first started, many have left their blog to be an Instagram Influencer…
I personally would never give up my blog, I love the idea of having my own website and sharing personal posts with you all. There is only so much you can say on an Instagram post. But, here I can pour out my heart and soul to you guys and connect with you. Blogging Industry has become so saturated and obsessed with numbers…
5 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Me.
1 My highest grade of education is Matric. Being the eldest I sadly couldn’t go on with studying. I was offered a bursary, which was amazing. Sadly, I had to work and take care of my mum and younger sister. I most probably wouldn’t go back to school and get a degree.
2 I have always been obsessed with Natural Disasters and would’ve studied CLIMATOLOGY. The weather and natural disasters fascinate me! I often did research on them and it was something I would’ve gotten a degree on if I took that bursary straight out of school.
3 I am an introvert, so speaking in larger groups or going to events gives me major anxiety. Another reason why I don’t really go to events, I totally freak out and get mini panic attacks at the idea of having to speak to so many people. At school I would normally pass on doing or fake being sick when we did presentations. I couldn’t do it.
4 I have always been obsessed with Dragon Ball Z, if your are South African child of the 90’s you would know how popular Dragon Ball Z was!! I would totally download them all and watch it. My favourite character was TRUNKS! With that purple hair!
5 I only started wearing makeup at age 19. Sadly, makeup wasn’t something I was clued up on. My mom only wore lipstick, so I never had a female figure to teach me about makeup. At age 19 I wore my first eye pencil liner and that was it! For many years eyeliner and mascara
I tried to think of things to share about me that you guys wouldn’t have known. Are there some things about you that people might not know? Let me know in the comments below.
