Avène Skincare

I’ve struggled with skin problems all my life due to my eczema. The feeling of my body aching all offers due to excessive itching that’s so hard not to cave in to. Avène Skincare is not new to me, the Thermal Spring Water is a lifesaver when my skin overheats and feel itchy.

I was recently sent two products from the Avène Xeracalm range to help with my skincare concerns and to share with you guys what my experience was using this on my specific skin.

Xeracalm Range

Xeracalm A.D Ultra-Rich Cleansing Bar R99.95

The ultra-rich cleansing bar for very dry sensitive skin prone to atopic eczema and itching. Very gentle soap-free cleansing base. Non-comedogenic & formulated to minimize risks of allergic reactions. Safe to use on the whole family (infants, children, adults).

Xeracalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Balm 200ml R299.95/ 400ml R399.95

Very dry skin – Atopy-prone skin – Skin prone to itchiness The lipid-replenishing Balm nourishes very dry skin and soothes itching sensations, for infants, children and adults. 0% Preservatives. Fragrance-free. Paraben-free

I’ve been using both of these Xeracalm products twice a day and have noticed that they have now irritated my skin at all. My skin feels hydrated throughout the day. The rashes or extremely dry itchy areas have popped up less frequent than before. Sadly, due to how to serve my eczema is I will not be able to entirely come off my prescription.

However, I found Avène to work wonders. It also allows me to not use my prescription less often, which in the long run will help so much. I have to admit I am impressed with these two products and would highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from extremely dry and sensitive skin. Even if you suffer from eczema as well – this is the range for you. This range is safe to use on the entire family as well.
