Pink Cosmetics Brush Cleaner

Pink Cosmetics Brush Cleaner -1

The Pink Cosmetics Brush Cleaner is probably one of the most hyped about products from the brand. I have been seeing all over my Instagram Feed other South African Beauty Bloggers raving about how amazing the brush cleaner is.

I was super excited when Pink Cosmetics reached out to me to try some of their products, Of course the Pink Cosmetics Brush Cleaner was the first on my list to try.

The Pink Cosmetics Brush Cleaner comes in a few different scents I was sent the scent Strawberry Champagne which has this really cute strawberry in the middle.

Pink Cosmetics Brush Cleaner -2
What is the Pink Cosmetics Brush Cleaner?

Keep your precious makeup brushes in tip top condition with our solid brush and sponge cleaner. It easily removes dirt and grime while conserving water and your valuable products.

Not only are these super effective in keeping your makeup brushes clean and germ-free but they are also great for travelling and are oh so easy to use. Each compact cleaner contains soothing cocoa butter and olive oil to condition and easily break down excess residue and germs.

These beauties have been handcrafted and individually poured by a makeup enthusiast with a passion for quality products, offering real value and superior results. This here is the ultimate cleaner for makeup artists and travellers alike.

How does it work?

Simply wet your brush or sponge with clean water. Next, wet the top of your cleaner in its container, and swirl the wet brush around on it to activate the cleaning ingredients. Remember, the dirtier your brush, the less it lathers. Rinse and repeat until your brush or sponge is perfectly clean and germ-free.

This retails for R185 on the Pink Cosmetics website. I would highly recommend it if you are living in South Africa. I found this to be one of the best brush cleaners I’ve tried. It cleaned the crap out of my brushes so easy! It’s so worth the brush and I am definitely going to buy another and stock up on them.

New Beauty Buys

New Beauty Buys September -1

I know! I promise myself that I wouldn’t spend money on any new makeup for awhile I caved! As always when stepping into Dischem to get my monthly essentials I saw a stand with newly released makeup products from LA Girl. Here are the New Beauty Buys I recently made.

Every month I see to be falling into this rabbit hole of purchasing new makeup. Whether it’s just one item or a full-on makeup haul. There always seems to be brand new makeup launches at the drugstore.

New Beauty Buys From LA Girl Cosmetics

I have been seeing these new LA Girl Cosmetics releases all over my Instagram feed. I wasn’t expecting LA Girl to release these products to the South African market for a few months.

There a brand new LA Girl displays with some of their latest products. The Three LA Girl products I picked up which I was intrigued the most from videos I’ve seen is the LA Girl Luminous Glow Skin Illuminator (R79.95) and LA Girl Luminous Glow Illuminating Powder (R79.95) I also picked up two lip liners which are not new. I’ve seen that LA Girl also released newer lip liners which are called Ultimate Intense Stay Auto Lip Liners which was quite steep at R100 one. I just couldn’t get myself to spend that much maybe after the wedding. I am curious to see if they really do last a long time and if they are worth the splurge.

Of course, I spent more money on highlighters… I will be testing these and let you guys know what my thoughts are of as always. If you guys tried any of these new LA Girl Cosmetics products then please let me know what your thoughts are. I also have seen that LA Girl finally launched their new matte foundation, which I wanted to purchase but wasn’t sure if it would be the right buy considering my dry skin. It might be a good option for Summer when I do want a more mattifying foundation.

NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator

NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator -1

A month or so ago I shared with you guys some New Beauty Buys I made. One of these items was the NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator. This is the only NYX Cosmetics item I’ve purchased and you guys know how much I love highlighters.

The NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator delivers some shimmer to your skin for a healthy, summer-ready glow. Can also be used to highlight certain areas on the face and body.

I purchased the shade GLEAM, which is a peach highlighter. It also comes in a 15ml tube and retails for around R150 at Clicks stores and online.

I’ve been wanting to try NYX beauty products for ages, and honestly, I am not quite sure why I haven’t dabbled in this brand before.

I’ve heard some mixed reviews and some saying that they found this to be a glittery highlighter. Personally, I love this! I found it to be quite similar to the Revlon Skin Lights Illuminator which I have been obsessed with for so many years and glad I found something similar.

I would definitely want to try the other Born To Glow Liquid Illuminators. I’m obsessed when it comes to luminous products. Highlighters are currently the one makeup item I have to use every day!

The NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator comes in Four Shades;
  • Sun Beam – Pale Pink Pearl
  • Gleam – Golden Peach Pearl
  • Pure Gold – Gold Pearl
  • Sun Goddess – Bronze Pearl

I’ve found that these blend really well… I simply add a bit with my fingers I find that works best for me. NYX does recommend that you can wear this under or over your foundation. Normally I add it over my foundation on the areas that I know hit the light.

Have you tried the NYX Born To Glow Illuminator? Let me know in the comments below if you enjoyed it or not?

Garnier Skin Active Rose Floral Water Range -1

Garnier recently launched the Garnier Botanical Range with consists of the Garnier Skin Active Rose Floral Water Range, Garnier Skin Active Aloe Vera Extract Range and Garnier Skin Active Green Tea Leaf Range. This made it’s way to South African and honestly, I cannot contain my excitement for these ranges.

Women today want natural beauty! True Beauty; Garnier says.

I can totally agree with this. Women are more conscious of what ingredients beauty products consist of and more aware of what is good for their bodying skin.

Garnier goes on further to say that with the power of nature enhanced products that needs no unnecessary ingredients.

I received the Garnier Skin Active Rose Floral Water Range (Sensi Rose Range) so I will be talking about this collection only as I have not tested the Aloe Vera Range (Fresh Aloe Range) which is more suitable for oily skin ladies and the Green Tea Leaf Range (Purity Green Range)for combination to oily skin.

Garnier Skin Active Rose Floral Water Range -2
Garnier calls it their Sensi Rose Range; which soothes sensitive and dry skin.

Cacharel Yes I Am Fragrance -2
The Packaging

The Yes I am fragrance comes in a black smoky finished glasses with a quilted design that looks like a lipstick. This is because lipstick is the most iconic object used by women and how empowering women feel with the right lipstick.

Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion

Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion -1

I am very new to Nivea Body Lotions. This is the first time I have purchased any of the body lotions. To be honest the scent of the Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion really intrigued me.

South African Beauty Blogger Popcorn and Pearls raved about how much she loves the Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion his and of course, I just had to pick it up myself.

I have told you guys countless times about my eczema which does limit me to trying new body lotions.

More About Nivea Cherry Blossom Lotion…

Nivea Cherry Blossom & Jojoba Oil Lotion is suited for normal to dry skin. It spoils the skin with 24 hours of deep moisture and a fresh cherry blossom scent. With precious jojoba oil carefully blended for moisture without stickiness. Awaken your senses and transform dry skin into smooth, beautifully glowing skin.

The jojoba oil nourishes and moisturises the skin. With Winter us still being in Winter, my skin has been much drier than usual. The Nivea Cherry Blossom scent is probably one of the best smelling scents I have come across, and that is saying a lot.

They are quite pricey at R52.99 for 400ml, but I have purchased more expensive products and for the quality, it’s not bad at all. I have really been enjoying Nivea body products lately like their body washes. This lotion absorbs really fast into the skin which I really like.

Have you tried any of the new Nivea body lotions before? I do intend on purchases other scents that Nivea launched.

August Favourites -01

I swear the months are just flying by! It’s September already and just a few weeks I will be a married woman. Today I share my August Favourites with you all. These are basically the products I have been reaching for the most this August.

I have been super busy lately with the wedding and just life in general. Work has also picked up quite a bit and has left me with little to no time to focus on the blog. This August I have fallen in love with old favourites and enjoy some new beauty products too

August Favourites -02

The only Clarins item I own! The Clarins bronzers are legendary in South African Beauty Community. This is definitely a high-end beauty item in my collection and have been very selfish in using it often. For the perfect bronzer glow this is also a bronzer I reach for.

A new addition to my beauty collection. I was sent the Lancôme Skin Feels Good Hydrating Skin Tint in a recent press drop and have made an entire post about this and the custom glow drops I received which you can read here.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Probiotic Cleanser – Whip To Clay

My skin has been suffering a lot this month and I have been breaking out in hives all over my face and neck. Not sure if its the weather or an allergic reaction to something I ate or used. I have been using the Elizabeth Arden Cleanser in the hopes it will save my poor skin. The last thing I need is bad skin before the wedding.

The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask

I have also been using a new mask from The Body Shop which is their Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask which I have been quite enjoying lately! I still have to do a full review of this product which will hopefully be up soon.

I would love to know what products you guys have been enjoying this August. Let me know in the comments section below.

August Lipstick Of The Month

August Lipstick Of The Month -1

It’s the last official month of Winter and as much as I love Winter I am really happy that the weather should be getting warmer. Mainly because I really want to wear my dresses and skirts. Today I’m sharing my August Lipstick Of The Month.

August Lipstick Of The Month Colourpop Lippiestix in Poppin…

With warmer weather, I love wearing brighter Lipstick shades! One of my favourite and the August Lipstick Of The Month is the Colourpop Lippiestix in the shade Poppin which their Matte X formula.

August Lipstick Of The Month -2

Colourpop Lippiestix shade Poppin is a gorgeous bright pink shade. I have been wanting to get my hands on more Colourpop makeup. I haven’t purchased from them for at least a year! Sad, I know! Colourpop has also launched so many new products I have been dying to buy! I have been drolling to get my hands on their latest products. It probably doesn’t help that they are constantly sending me promotional emails.

August Lipstick Of The Month -3

I promised myself that once the wedding is done for and I’ve saved a bit to spoil myself with a few items from Colourpop. So many expenses, coming up that honestly I can’t even think about placing any orders with Colourpop anytime soon!

I found myself reaching a lot towards this Colourpop Lippiestix shade. The Matte X formula can be drying, but if you exfoliate your lips regularly it glides on like a dream. I personally just love it! I do want to try other formulas though. I have always been a fan of vibrant pink shades and they one just ticks all the boxes for me. This shade is perfect for the upcoming Spring season!

What lipstick have you, this month? Let me know in the comments below. Also, if you guys have any lipstick shade recommendations especially regarding Colourpop that I have to try, please let me know.
