This past weekend I finally decided to make an appointment at SkinPHD for a haircut. A Hair cut has been long overdue! I have been struggling so much with my hair and most of it is probably my own doing. Being a beauty blogger, it’s actually disgusting that my hair looked like something out of a horror movie, super happy I finally chopped my hair!
Last year I bleached my hair and my ends actually burnt and got so damaged from all the bleach I used. I’ve been walking around for months without visiting the hair salon, I’ve been so scared to cut my hair because my hair takes a really long time to grow. I couldn’t handle the disgusting ends, didn’t help that I was using hot tools everyday which made it worse if that was even possible, they were so bad to begin with!
I wanted a cut that also added more volume to my hair, I have quite thick hair – but it gets really flat so volume was needed and best way to get that texturised look is with layers and tons of them.
Elizabeth at SkinPHD in Plattekloof was amazing she knew exactly what I wanted and was so kind and friendly. I have had bad experiences with other salon’s the hairdressers are not friendly and are – rude not checking up if you are okay and not understanding what look you want even with telling them exactly what you want even with a help of a photo, we spend so much money for a service some places just don’t deliver.
I definitely found my new favourite salon and hairdresser, I vowed to myself to take better care of my skin and hair. My hair feels healthier not to mention that fact that it’s shorter is easier to mantain which I really love.
What do you guys think about the shorter hair cut?0
