Essence Soo Glow Cream To Powder Highlighter

Review Essence Soo Glow Highlighter_01

When I saw that Essence was releasing a brand new highlighter I just had to have it. I have really been in love with Essence products and found that their products rarely disappoint. Today’s post is all about Essence Soo Glow Cream To Powder Highlighter.

I got the shade 10 Look on the bright side which looks like a cream or off white shade.

What Essence says “glamour glow! The highlighter gives your complexion a beautiful shimmer. its creamy texture turns into a velvety, powdery formula upon application. easy to apply with your fingers, it sets gorgeous accents on your cheekbones, underneath the brows or in the inner corners of your eyes.”

Now to share what I think.. The packaging is super cute, I love how compact it is and it’s so easy to pop in to my makeup bag, I am also a bit bumped out with the small pan but then again it’s just so darn cute. I love how creamy the texture is and application us just such a breeze, it’s so easy to go over board and apply too much so be careful if you have a heavy hand.

What really gets me going is the bright glow it gives your skin and it has this gorgeous gold lights which isn’t over powering at all. This is my first time using a highlighter so I can’t really compare it to other products on the market. This does retail for R55 at any Dischem , Spree and Clicks stores.

The only problem I have with this highlighter is that there’s only two shades to choose from the 10 Look on the bright side (which I have ) and 20 Bright up your life also I find that it doesn’t last all day but maybe that’s just me expecting too much it does last a solid 5 or more hours which is great.

Have you tried the Essence Soo Glow Cream highlighter? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hey Karen, I thought so too when I swatched it, but it actually goes powder which is why they called it cream to powder it wasn’t creamy at all when I applied it to my face.

I am SO dying to try this out! I have heard its a dupe of the MAC Lightscapade and if thats true then hallelujah because I cannot justify spending R320 on a highlighter again if this one is just as good. Lovely picture with the flowers, by the way 🙂

It looks great, I’d definitely try it. I do prefer my highlighters with slightly more pinky tones though. Thanks for sharing it! xx

I think it’s time for a little beauty haul for myself, and I think I should get products I’ve previously been to scared to use, this is something from that list!

I have heard so much from the essence range it’s so cheap I picked up a mascara from the range and wasn’t expecting that much from it but it was really good. I might give this highlighter I go myself

Awesome review! I tend to prefer a slightly less creamy highlighter, but I would love to give something like this a shot!
