How I Plan My Instagram Feed

Blogging takes lots of work, whether I am writing new content, taking blog photos and scheduling social media content. There is so much work involved… Not that I am complaining, I absolutely love planning my content especially when it comes to Instagram. I like to consider myself more of a visual person… I thought it would be helpful to show you all How I Plan My Instagram Feed to help me save time.

When you have a full time job, planning and scheduling your blog and social media content is key. Doing things last minute gives me so much anxiety, there’s nothing more then I dislike it feeling pressured because I left things till the last minute.

Instagram Scheduling Apps Are A Lifesaver

To keep myself organized and to help me save time I schedule my Instagram feed days or weeks in advance depending on how far along my blog posts are.

I can not stress enough how much of a help it has been. There are two specific apps that I use to curate and plan my Instagram feed and that’s Planoly and Later. I think I have already mentioned these apps before. I have basically been alternating between the two both are really good, for some reason I love the look at feel of Planoly more. Below I have listed the pros and cons for both apps that might help you with your decision.

Planoly

  • It’s free. The free version gives you 30 posts you can schedule.
  • Can be used on phone and web application

  • Auto publish posts

Cons

  • You only get 30 posts a month to use
  • You can’t schedule multi-photos
  • Can check analytics
  • Can directly reply to 5 latest Instagram comments on posts
  • No hashtag suggestions

Later

I’ve thought about using an app to schedule Instagram posts, but I had no idea where to start, so this is so helpful! I’ll be sure to check out both of these to see which one I prefer, as they do sound really similar xx

I am in the minority, I don’t plan my posts and publish whenever I want. I find this way works better for me. I have tried scheduling it but I can’t keep up with it.

I can’t believe there was a time where I use to ‘wing’ my instagram posts. I use to just scroll through my pre-photographed photos, pick one out, slap a caption and upload. Now that I plan my feed, plan my captions and schedule my posts Instagram has been so much more organised. My favourite app to plan the feed is definitely ‘Preview’ I find it the only one that doesn’t give me any limitations to how many rows of the grid I can plan and I even made a tiny one time purchase and now can design as many grids as I want. I also live by the later app it’s the best for scheduling posts. Evernote is also a favourite tool which I use for so many aspects of blogging.

Thanks for sharing! 🙂 I don’t use any Instagram scheduling apps but Facebook and twitter I schedule through Hootsuite and I have my blog and YouTube all pre-scheduled! I post what I’m wearing each day to Instagram so scheduling doesn’t really work for that 🙁

Hope that the first week of 2019 is off to a great start for you and you are having a nice weekend 🙂
