How To Plan Blog Content Like A Pro

When it comes to planning my blog content I enjoy planning well in advance. I hate the feeling of being rushed and the one thing I really love is being sure I have a good schedule for my content. Today I will be sharing How To Plan Blog Content Like A Pro that might help you with some direction. No one quite understands how much work it takes to post content whether it’s a blog post or posting on social media.

The planning beforehand that takes place can get overwhelming at times. I find that have a good plan and a process helps take the stress off of blog planning and helps you stay organised.

Choose A Theme

Firstly, you want to make sure that you have a theme or an idea in place. What is the purpose of this blog post? Is it a beauty review, lifestyle-related or fashion post. Once you have an idea for a post, you can start planning out what you want to say and plan your photography.

Photography

When it comes to photography, everyone has there own style. I simply shoot all of the content with my iPhone, and it’s been working just fine for me. If it’s a product shot, I usually have an idea of how I want the photo to be taken. Whether it’s a flatly or lifestyle shot, I try to mix things up. There are a few places I alternate between where I take my photos. Once I found the place, which usually has the best natural lighting I then choose other filler items I want to place with the main item I want to feature in that blog post. Usually, this is flowers, tray’s or sweaters… I usually mix different textures….

Use Apps

Once I am happy with the photo I have taken I use Lightroom to edit my photos. There are a few presets I use that is my aesthetic. I have previously done a post showcasing a few Lightroom presets that you can purchase for cheap on Etsy. I also make use of Trello to plan my content, this helps me to stay organised and to track what needs to still be done on a post, like social media scheduling, photography or written content. Trello is where I plan my progress.

For Instagram I use Planoly, it’s been a life changer to help me plan my Instagram Feed well in advance. I would highly recommend using an Instagram Scheduling App, it helps so much with planning your feed, writing your captions and even saving hashtags.

These are the 3 main things I focus on when it comes to scheduling my content and planning in advance. I enjoy having a schedule and basically find what works for you. If you prefer keeping a diary with pen and paper then that works too. Everyone is different, these are what I find helps me when it comes to my blog content.

I love these tips! I really like your photo at the top of the page, by the way! Where you can see the keyboard of the laptop and then it scrolls up to the screen. Super neat! I’ve never seen anything like that.

Thank you for the tips! I think that planning content is one of the most difficult things for me. I’ve been using trello and it’s really helpful to keep track of my posts and helps me to promote them as well!

Planning ahead is definately the best way to be – I WAS in a place where I had 3 ready to go at any one time but work has taken over of late and I haven’t blogged in nearly a month!
