When it comes to planning my blog content I enjoy planning well in advance. I hate the feeling of being rushed and the one thing I really love is being sure I have a good schedule for my content. Today I will be sharing How To Plan Blog Content Like A Pro that might help you with some direction. No one quite understands how much work it takes to post content whether it’s a blog post or posting on social media.
The planning beforehand that takes place can get overwhelming at times. I find that have a good plan and a process helps take the stress off of blog planning and helps you stay organised.
Choose A Theme
Firstly, you want to make sure that you have a theme or an idea in place. What is the purpose of this blog post? Is it a beauty review, lifestyle-related or fashion post. Once you have an idea for a post, you can start planning out what you want to say and plan your photography.
When it comes to photography, everyone has there own style. I simply shoot all of the content with my iPhone, and it’s been working just fine for me. If it’s a product shot, I usually have an idea of how I want the photo to be taken. Whether it’s a flatly or lifestyle shot, I try to mix things up. There are a few places I alternate between where I take my photos. Once I found the place, which usually has the best natural lighting I then choose other filler items I want to place with the main item I want to feature in that blog post. Usually, this is flowers, tray’s or sweaters… I usually mix different textures….
Once I am happy with the photo I have taken I use Lightroom to edit my photos. There are a few presets I use that is my aesthetic. I have previously done a post showcasing a few Lightroom presets that you can purchase for cheap on Etsy. I also make use of Trello to plan my content, this helps me to stay organised and to track what needs to still be done on a post, like social media scheduling, photography or written content. Trello is where I plan my progress.
For Instagram I use
These are the 3 main things I focus on when it comes to scheduling my content and planning in advance. I enjoy having a schedule and basically find what works for you. If you prefer keeping a diary with pen and paper then that works too. Everyone is different, these are what I find helps me when it comes to my blog content.
