One of my favourite bloggers Chereen from For The Beauty Of It, implemented Self Care Sundays. I absolutely loved the idea and decided that I will be Implementing Self Care Sundays too.

A day dedicated to focusing on myself for my mental and physical wellbeing. Self Care Sundays can mean different things for us all.

I find it to be important for me to take at least a day or a few hours to focus on myself. Life can get in the way of things and for me personally being a wife, a mother of four furry babies and having a full-time job. It is hard to make time to focus on myself… Imagine how much harder it is for a mother of human babies…

It feels like I am always working. Being in a smaller company, means that the job doesn’t end at 5pm, at most times I am working over weeks, not to mention the time I need to make focusing on the blog, taking care of a home, four furry babies and all those wife duties… It’s a balancing act that takes a while to find a balance and it can take its toll on you mentally and physically. Which is why I absolutely love the idea of Self Care Sundays. Especially with it being on the last day of the week, to make some time to focus on me. 

It’s okay to be selfish at times. Being selfish with my time at certain times are okay. Not feeling burnt out is my number one priority. Usually, on my self care Sunday routine I focus on the ultimate pamper day. Doing my hair, mani and pedis and letting my mind unwind watching chic flicks. Yes, all the things my husband dislikes mainly chic flicks. 

Since implementing my self care Sunday I feel much better, not worn out and completely exhausted. Would you do your own Self Care Sundays? Let me know in the comments section below.
