I know I am super late with my Best Of 2017 posts. I have been struggling to sift through all my makeup that I thought was worthy as the best I’ve used for the year. Some of you ladies might disagree with me, but these are the makeup products I personally loved. If you are interested at all keep reading my Best Makeup Products 2017.
There are just too many products I thought it would be best to share them in categories. I will also be sharing a Best Skin Care Products 2017 post soon.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist – 2017 was definitely a year I was privileged and so grateful to have received so many Elizabeth Arden products. In my opinion, 2017 was a year that Elizabeth Arden really kicked ass. They released so many outstanding products that are worthy to be mentioned, but I tried my best to choose my favourites. By far the Eight Hour collection is my favourite range! The Hydrating Mist from Elizabeth Arden does a number on my skin, it hydrates it and great to use after I applied my makeup. It seems to be doing a great job in keeping everything from melting off my face.
Elizabeth Arden Lasting Impression Mascara – Of course, how could I not mention the best freaken mascara I’ve used. Hello to long lushes, lashes! Elizabeth Arden with their Lasting Impression Mascara gave me hope that the perfect mascara is out theirs.
Elizabeth Arden Eyeshadow – Creaming, long-lasting eyeshadows. The Elizabeth Arden Eyeshadow and the Elizabeth Arden compact are just a genius idea. I have been using this palette so much, especially for creating a smokey eye.
Catrice The Precious Copper Collection Eyeshadow Palette – The Catrice Precious Copper Collection Eyeshadow Palette has been my go-to everyday palette. For simple and minimal work looks I tend to use this palette a lot. Some of the shades aren’t the created but the 4 I do use out of this palette are worth getting.
Catrice Limited Edition Illumination Powder Blush – Catrice and Essence blushes are by far my most used. I have been using the Catrice Limited Edition Illumination Powder Blush so much it’s actually sad. The Illumination Limited Edition has got to be my favourite Limited Edition that Catrice released.
Catrice Eyebrow Set – I have really been trying to up my eyebrow game guys! To fill in the sparse hairs my go to has been the Catrice Eyebrow Set. I have literally been using this every day since I purchased it sometime in 2017. This set and my trusty Essence Eyebrow Gel Mascara and I am all good to go.
LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Long Wear Illuminating Foundation Warm Beige – By far my favourite foundation for 2017 is the LA Girl Pro Coverage HD Long Wear Illuminating Foundation. LA Girl seriously needs to work on shortening the names of their products. The shade Warm Beige is my perfect skin tone match! For dry skin ladies, this foundation is a Godsend, I have used it every day and will be repurchasing another soon. This foundation just ticks all the boxes for me.
LA Girl Pro HD BB Cream Medium – LA Girl totally kicked ass in 2017. The LA Girl Pro HD BB Cream is also a product I need to stock up on. I have just finished mine… The shade Medium matches me perfectly – for the days I don’t want high coverage, this bb cream breathes life into my skin. By far the best bb cream I’ve used.
LA Girl Strobelite Strobing Powder 50 Watt – Another rocking LA Girl product I used is the LA Girl Strobelite Strobing Powder. I have been meaning to purchase more of these, but waiting it out for a 3 for 2 promos at Dischem. Yes, I know you guys wait for promos too! A girl’s got to save some money! The shade 50 Watt is my highlighting soul mate. It just suits my tanned skin so well, it has a small tint of gold. I am just in love with this blinding highlighter!
Essence Lash Princess Mascara – I have repurchased this foundation twice already! The Essence Lash Princess Mascara is my go-to everyday mascara. It lengthens my lashes and doesn’t smudge and it’s super affordable.
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet 57 Rouge Feu – Ah, my most prized lipstick! The Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick in the shade 56 Rouge Feu is by far the most luxurious lipstick I own. To be honest, I try not to use it so much, I can’t afford to replace it! It’s the perfect red lipstick every girl wants! I am just beside myself with happiness. Also how aesthetically pleasing is this packaging?
3ina Cream Eyeshadow 312 – I am just in love with this cream eyeshadow in the shade 312 from 3ina. It’s a rosy gold shade that works brilliantly as an eyeshadow topper. I sadly only own two products from 3ina, but I have been using this eyeshadow so much. I really like the formula of these and will definitely want to try the other shades 3ina offers.
Swiitch Beauty Slays For Days Eyeshadow Palette – Swiitch Beauty ( which is a local South African Beauty Brand) has really done well in 2017. I purchased a few of their products… One of these products is the Swiiitch Beauty Slays For Days Eyeshadow Palette. This palette consists of the perfect array of warm eyeshadows. The oranges, browns and rose gold shades are giving me life! Definitely one of the best purchases I made.
Sephora Cream Lip Stain 01 – Another gorgeous red lipstick that I just had to mention is the Sephora Cream Lip Stain. I am really loving the formula of these lip stains from Sephora. My amazing friend Angie sent this to me I have been fighting myself not to finish it! It lasts a good amount of time, however, these are not transfer proof. The formula is just so worth it though, it doesn’t dry out the lips at all which I love!
