If you guys follow me on Instagram you would’ve seen that I posted on my Instagram Stories some Mavala Nail Polish that I received from their PR a few weeks ago. This is my first time trying their nail polishes, which got me extremely excited!
As mentioned, I’ve never used any Mavala Nail Polish before. I have always stick to Essence Nail Polish! They are affordable, which is the main reason why I stayed with Essence for so long.
MAVALA is distributed in over 110 countries around the world. All our products are still developed and manufactured in Geneva, Switzerland in conformity with the most rigorous quality standards and regulations.
In South Africa, MAVALA is available through approved and appointed stockists ranging from small independent salons, pharmacies and large retail stores and chains, such as Clicks, Dis-Chem and Woolworths. MAVALA is also sold at some independent outlets around the country.
I’ve been using three of their nail polishes in the shades; Riga, Freesia and Cape Town.
First of all, how amazingly cute are these nail polishes?! Yes, Mavala nail polishes are much smaller than other brands I have come across. At first, I found this highly concerning… They are more pricer then say, Essence Cosmetics. Considering the fact that most of my Essence nail polishes have gone hard, and I end up throwing them away often totally sucks. Mavala is more of an investment, they are however cheaper than Essie or Morgan Taylor. I have gone a good few days without my nails chipping, also two coats are the perfect amount of coats that are needed to get the correct shade.
Are these worth purchasing?
I’d say YES! These are worth buying. They have a wide variety of shades and they are great quality. I would definitely want to try more of their nail polishes, these are also easier to store.
