I have fallen back into blogging, not to say I haven’t been loving it before. But, you know that feeling when you just feel defeated and find it hard writing content. However, since updating my blog template I feel passionate about blogging again. I’ve also changed up my editing style with has got the creative juices flowing again. I thought I would share My Blogging Equipment & Tools to give you guys an insight into what I use to take my blog photos.
I recently got a new camera which has seriously been amazing. I always wanted a dedicated camera just for photography and videos. I have been enjoying playing around with the setting and composition of products when taking photos. It has been a dream. Well, besides one of our cats for decided to kick my camera off our office table! Which left a few scratches on the body of the camera only – thank goodness!

Talking about the camera, I am using the Canon m100 which was on a discount at the time of purchase. I bullied my husband into getting it for me as an early anniversary present. I know you ladies do this too when you really want something so bad you mob around for days LOL!! To be fair I have been saving for it too, so the blow wasn’t too bad. Using this camera has been a dream, well for someone coming from an iPhone I find that the quality is perfect for me. I don’t plan on doing any cinematic content so I wanted a simple, good quality camera. The lens is interchangeable like a DSLR, however, I think you might need an adapter to use other lenses. I am pretty happy with the lens it came with.
My iPhone was my main camera for years! The iPhone 8 Plus takes some really amazing photos, this is great for when you are on the go and need to take some photos. I would say take your photos its Portrait mode, this is the only mode I use in my camera. It gives that lovely bokeh effect. I also use my camera to jot down blog ideas on my Notes app. Also, blog posts when I am in bed and inspiration hits me!
Ah, the Bluetooth clicker! A lifesaver indeed. The Bluetooth Clicker is amazing if you want to take photos using your phone you can just click away and the camera takes the snaps. This has been so useful for fashion shots. I usually just put the phone on the tripod and have a little photoshoot! This is the best way to take photos by yourself. If your boyfriend or husband is anything like mine, then we better off taking our own photos. He seems to always take the most unflattering angles.
I cannot stress enough how important having a tripod is! Before having one I have dropped my phone so much trying to balance it on the shelf or on 100 trillion boxes! I purchased one that has a phone attachment which allows you to use your camera and cellphone. I purchased mine from a vendor, I think Takealot has some great options too.
My iPad has been amazing for keeping a list of post ideas and tracking what I did on them. I have Trello added on my iPad – which is what I use to keep track of upcoming blog posts and video ideas. I find it to work much better than other apps or the book and pen.2
