Primer Collection

Primer Collection_1

I don’t wear primers too often but when I do I want a primer that can increase the longevity of my makeup, especially when I know I have a long day. I don’t own too many primers but here is my Primer Collection and what I rotate.

My Primer Collection

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

One of the first primers I’ve ever use is the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser is still a primer I reach for. I know not many people are a fan of the silicon consistency. I personally enjoy it and find that it gives me a softer look and flawless finish. They are also super affordable and can be found everywhere.

L’Oréal Infallible Mattifying Primer

The L’Oréal Infallible Mattifying Primer is one of my favourites at the moment. This primer will minimise imperfections, pores and shine to ensure you look super velvety and soft. The matte finish is perfect for those clammy, summer days.

The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer

The High-Adherence Silicone Primer is an advanced treatment to hydrate, mattify and smooth for optimum makeup application. The non-greasy formula features adaptive silicone particles that create a high definition finish with long-lasting wear, effectively working to blur the look of imperfections including fine lines and enlarged pores. Free from alcohol and oil, it leaves your complexion looking fresh, shine-free and flawless while helping enhance the longevity of your makeup.

L’Oréal Infallible Fixing Mist

The L’Oréal Infallible Fixing Mist will aid in prolonging your makeup wear by preventing melting, fading and cracking. Use it to look and feel fresh all day long.

The Ordinary High Spreadability Fluid Primer

The High-Spreadability Fluid Primer offers a new generation of primer, with a fluid, serum-like texture that seamlessly glides across skin to improve the wear and coverage of your makeup. The surface layer of skin is veiled with a non-oily, hydrating film for a dew-glistened complexion.

What is your favourite primer in your makeup collection? Let me know in the comments below, would love to get some recommendations.

I’ve tried all of these apart from the L’Oreal Fixing Mist, which sounds great! I’m such a sucker for a new primer and have quite a few in my collection because I just love trying them! My favourite primers at the moment is the Revolution Pro Prime & Hydrate Primer and the Primark Flawless Finish Primer.

I haven’t tried any of these but I am a big fan of primers. I love Clarins Beuty Flash Balm, bareMinerals Good Hydrations, Milk Hydro Grip – the list goes on! xx

These sound like some really great options too. Never used any of those brands yet.

I used to love the high spreadibility primer by the ordinary, but after I ran out I never purchased it again! I really want to get it again now!

I totally agree, if you are on a tight budget it works wonders.

My primer collection is a little (okay a lot out of control). For my skin type I’ve found that primers are the one category of makeup I don’t have any affordable holygrails in. So a lot of my favourites are high end but there are some fantastic ones out there. x

These primers looks super interesting! Have you found the Maybelline primer to be long wearing on your skin? Many of my friends have found that it makes their makeup look good at first, but it seems to melt off by the middle of the day.

I didn’t use primers for years but I’ve just started getting into them. I think they are great if you have patches of skin that need correcting – I have combination skin with dry patches and I use a hydrating primer to level out the dryness xx
