{Review} Essence Merry Berry Highlighter _01

I’ve mentioned before on the blog that Essence Cosmetics was one of the brands who launched a Christmas collection, the collection they released was the Merry Berry Collection.

One of the products found in this collection was a highlighter powder called “I love my golden pumps” this has probably got to be one of the products in the collection that I was the most excited about to use. I have been obsessed with highlighters this Summer season and wear them every day more the I would bronzer or even blush these days. They create an instant glow and makes my skin look healthy even know it’s not!

The “I love my golden pumps” highlighter is the only highlighter in the Merry Berry Collection Essence released, it’s a powder highlighter which is shimmery and leaves a golden tint. I found that this highlighter isn’t as pigmented as the Soo Glow collection from Essence now I am not sure if it’s because this is a powder and the Soo Glow is a cream to powder, don’t get me wrong the colour payoff is great but I feel like I actually need to apply more product to get that dewy glow I crave for.

For a budget option I think this highlighter does a decent job for only R67.99 you can’t really complain and the pan is quite large which means I would get more out of this then I have on the Soo Glow Highlighter I have used before. It doesn’t last all day which is a bit of a bummer, by the time I get home my glow vanished with my foundation. This is a great budget option and the golden colour is leaves my cheeks is really pretty.
