If you a regular visitor to my blog then you guys know how much I love the beauty brand Essence Cosmetics! I talk about the brand all the time over here sharing hits and misses like all brands tend to have, because Essence is so affordable I do tend to spend a lot more on purchasing their products and I do get sent some products from their pr company.
Sadly the brand is not readily available to everyone across the world you will mainly find it in Germany and Australia. Like with all brand you will find hits and misses some absolutely terrible misses but when Essence Cosmetics gets it right they really do get it right giving those top high end brands a run for their money. The Pure Nude Makeup collection Essence released – a duo consisting of a foundation and a concealer here is the run down whether these are worth buying or total rubbish.
Starting with the Pure Nude Foundation (R79. 95) I got the shade in Pure Beige which is to be honest is the completely wrong match for me , a shade too light – but I could pull it off during Winter just not going to work for me during Summer as I do tan very easily in Summer. Now about the formula, Essence does claim this foundation to be light weight and to give a natural look.I did find the foundation to be light weight and will be a great option for the upcoming Summer months, it also did leave me with a very natural look giving me that no makeup look – this doesn’t give high coverage, if that’s what you looking for I would probably skip this one and rather try their All About Matt Foundation which I found to be way better then this one.
Now for the one product I didn’t like at all their Pure Nude Concealer (R54, 95), as much as I love you Essence this concealer just didn’t work for me at all., being a cream concealer I found it to be surprising powdery which is rather strange. This is also in the shade Pure Beige oddly enough it’s way lighter then the foundation more suitable for someone with extremely pale skin as you guys can see that’s definitely not me… Also the coverage is very light I prefer my concealer to have higher coverage because of my really bad under eye circles they do have much better concealers then this one.
Really disappointing but this is not the best range from Essence Cosmetics, I wouldn’t purchase these because I think Essence has way better quality products then this duo. My thoughts might differ from others who have used it, these are just my opinions on how I found them to work for me. Still love the brand and will continue to buy their products just unfortunately not loving these.0
