Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

I haven’t tried too many stick foundations and I have had my eye on the Revolution Beauty Fast Base Stick Foundation for some time now. I finally caved and decided to purchase it and over the last few weeks, I have been using it. If you guys would like to know what my thoughts then keep on reading…

Revolution Fast Base Foundation perfects your complexion for a dewy, skin-like finish in light to medium coverage. Choose your shade and undertone to match your complexion, and complete your makeup in a flash. It retails for R109.95 and Clicks has 18 shades available online.

Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

I tried a few different shades but found that shade F10 was the best suited for my skin tone. This is a light to medium coverage foundation, don’t expect it to cover up spots or bumps. This foundation applies like a mixture of cream and powder which sounds strange but applies fine. I do use a dewy primer because I do have rather dry skin. This foundation is great for Summer when you want a light coverup and not want too many products on your skin.

Revolution does offer quite a variety of different shades to choose from, usually, I struggle to find a foundation that suits my skin tone, but didn’t have much trouble with their shade offering. I also found that applying it with a damp sponge somehow worked better for me, or even using the warmth of your fingers and tapping the product into your skin also works great!

Is it worth the purchase? If you are on a hunt of a light coverage foundation that is easy to wear. I would recommend that this foundation is worth drying. The price tag is super affordable, which you come to love from Revolution Beauty. I wouldn’t say this foundation is buildable. The more product I applied the drier it made my skin look, this could be due to my specific skin type.

I’ve always wanted to get on with stick foundations as they are just so portable and great to do your makeup on the go, but as someone with such dry skin I just don’t think it would work for me! Any sort of building up or cream foundation is always a bit of a struggle, think it will just sadly have to be a no on stick foundations! xx

I have dry skin too and definitely get your concerns! I do find using a hydrating Primer works well but yeah not buildable at all.

I’m so intrigued by these especially as I haven’t tried any base products from Revolution before. I’m gonna see if I can get my hands on my shade xx

Yeah, I’ve been finding that with most stick foundations.

They have so many great products and at affordable prices too! They got really big in the UK and then the hype calmed down so it’s always nice seeing the brand being featured here and there so thank you so much for sharing!
