I’ve always struggled with dry skin all year round. It seems to intensify due to my eczema and with a change of season. If you suffer from dry skin too then, here is my Skincare Routine For Dry Skin.
Most influencers and bloggers I come across mainly seem to have a much oily skin type. For me, on the other hand, my skin dries out. It seems that almost no skincare product holds the hydration for a longer period.
They say dry skin mainly comes with age being mature skin. However, this is something I’ve always had. My nose area seems to be the driest and also the most painful due to my all year round hay fever and sinus. Not sure if this contributes to the dryness of my skin.
Skincare Routine For Dry Skin
I always opt for oil-based products and those with a higher hydration level.
At the moment, I’m using a cream-based cleanser the Cetaphil Cleanser has been astounding and something I keep in the shower. It’s also ideal for sensitive skin. I especially love the Cetaphil range, it’s perfect for those with sensitive skin and suffer from eczema like myself. Before and after cleansing I opt for micellar water just to make sure I remove excess impurities I might have missed with the cleanser. I’ve been obsessed with the Bioderma Micellar water which I’ve been wanting to try for years! I recently received it in a press drop.
Once my face is clean and ready for the next step. I use a serum because my skin is so dry I tend to use a serum in the morning and evenings. The Vitamin C ceramide capsules are marvellous. I just love the Elizabeth Arden capsules in general! In the evening I would use retinol capsules, but every other night. I am also using the Bioderma Sebium Night Peel on some nights to help with blemishes to improve the overall health of my skin.
In the morning I either use the Elizabeth Arden Great 8 moisturizer or the Alma K hydrating cream. In the evening I will use the Alma K Night Cream or the Elizabeth Arden Night Cream.
At the moment I have a good skincare routine it’s improved the look and feel of my skin and has helped with that achy feeling.
