The Body Shop Skin Defence Face Mist

I was gifted The Body Shop Skin Defence Face Mist a while ago and have been using it quite often for late. I am a major fan of face mist as I find them to be soothing on the skin especially with the warmer weather.

The Body Shop has always been one of my favourite brands, not only are their products amazing quality. They are also an animal cruelty-free brand, which means they do not test on animals.

The Body Shop Skin Defence Face Mist R250

What The Body Shop says: Feel free with this super-lightweight, multi-protection face mist with SPF30 PA++ and help protect skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays and pollution particles too. The cloud-like mist forms an invisible protective film without leaving the skin feeling sticky and greasy. Enriched with red algae extract and vitamin C, the mist helps brighten your skin’s appearance for a radiant look. So easy to use on the go, help to protect your skin without smudging your make-up for any adventure.

  • Multi-protection face mist with SPF30 PA++
  • Anti-pollution and anti-dullness
  • Easy to use
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Enriched with Community Trade marula oil from Namibia
  • 100% vegan

This face mist is great for when you are heading out, I love the fact that it contains SPF which we all know is important. I also like the fact that it contains Vitamin C, which allows your skin to look brighter. Sadly, the very first thing that hits me when I spritz this product on my face is the strong alcohol scent, this is due to Alcohol Denat which is listed as one of their ingredients. This is so disappointing and I cannot get over the scent to have me fully appreciate it. The scent is just too overwhelming, it doesn’t last long and the scent dissipates less than a minute.

Have you tried it before? Let me know in the comments section below if you liked it or not?

    I was going to get this at the start of the summer a few months back but I read bad reviews regarding the smell and that it didn’t even perform that well so I gave it a miss xx

      I had such high hopes for it, considering how much I love the brand

    Sham about the Alcohol scent, I hate that too. I LOVE the skin defence SPF 50 base from body shop but haven’t tried this spritz.

    I really do need a new face mist and have never tried anything from the body shop. I don’t like the smell of alcohol either so that would throw me off a little bit!

    I am not too bother with alcohol denat as I find a lot of Asian skincare contains it too. It would be nice to avoid that ingredient if posible though. I will pick this up to try, brilliant way to top up SPF throughout the day.
